Clover's Corn Sweater

A new snuggly sweater for my chilly little mutt. She's appreciative enjoying the fruits of my labor as it's in the 20's outside and everything is icy. I found this super-soft yarn made with a cotton/corn blend that I love so much I might add it to a section of the afghan I'm making this year. Will post more on that later. The last sweater I made for her was a little bulky and my first attempt at a dog-sized frock. This one I'm proud of. It didn't take me long and the stitches were really even, not to mention it fits her very well!

As far as detail, there's a little shell edging along the bottom of it but other than that it's fairly plain. I'm getting more comfortable with little design elements so I look forward to creating more unique details.

Babber's Bonnet

It's been quite chilly here in beautiful Seattle, so much so that we're snowed in at the moment. in celebration of the icy weather I've made a snug little head warmer for my tiny companion. I know I know, tormented she may look but I assure you she appreciates this sucker while out in the brisk northwestern air.

Mount Rainier

Wow, it's been awhile! A few weeks ago we went on a day trip to Rainier and I FINALLY edited the pictures this evening. Check em out if you've got a thing for huge mountains, pretty parks or like really REALLY cute dogs ;)

Clover Training

Clover has had a leash pulling problem and we're trying a no pull harness on her. So far we've had to trade it in for a smaller size and we're still not sure if it's going to be effective but may be worth a shot. It looks so uncomfortable to wear but this happy dog doesn't seem to mind one bit <3

Dog Dress

Another project from this week. Burnt orange & cream colored knit dress. Made with organic cotton so it's super soft on Clover's sensitive skin <3

Clobbs

Expected rain today so the sun was a pleasant afternoon surprise! We took Clover to Alki Beach, watched people fight with kites and met some other cute pups (:

Clover in the Park

A day late, but yesterday was pure chaos! All of the windows in our apartment were replaced and thankfully it wasn't raining so we could escape to the many parks in our neighborhood. We left for a little over an hour and walked to Kerry Park, Marshall Park and Parsons Garden. I would have stayed out longer but it began to get cold again and Clover was in desperate need of water and a blanket to snuggle into. Our windows are SO much better as far as city noise and keeping the heat in but they don't open up like the old ones so I'm pretty sure summer is going to be stuffier than we'd hoped. I'm so glad it's done as they've been talking about window replacement since we moved in last October. I absolutely hate workers in my apartment!

My Little Nomlet

Had a very relaxing Sunday: napped on and off until late afternoon then had the best cheesy enchilada Seattle has to offer. Picked up some doggy treats, poo bags and a much needed comb because Clover's fur seems to think spring is the perfect time to clog the corners of every room. We went to Carkeek Park to see if the sunset was watchable but ended up with a cloudy light drop. Going to the beach with Jon, despite what nature feels like doing, is always worth it. I love living this close to such gorgeous coastal scenery. Upon arriving home our little nomlet was in high gear so we wrestled with her and a favorite pig part until she passed out. More pics on my Flickr if you want to see the ultimate in Boston adorableness!

Tags Pocket

While shopping at our favorite pet store, Mud Bay, we wanted to get something that would hush the tags on Clover's collar. After looking through a few products I discovered that most were little velcro closure pockets. We would have just bought one but they were expensive, some were almost 10 bucks!

Well, this morning I crocheted one for her and I think it's MUCH cuter than anything we could have bought in the store.

Steampunk Hat

A slow morning after a fun weekend. I spent Saturday afternoon with the high priestess of steampunk, Cherie Priest, and her hubby(the roastmaster). Her new book BONESHAKER is a hit among steampunk lovers and anyone that appreciates a good story. With such fun inspiration, today I've created a tiny steampunkish hat that happens to fit Clover perfectly. I must admit that this was a luck shot as she kept bucking it off her tiny dog head at every opportunity.
