There are so many new technologies that come out every month in the photo world. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with everything. Companies like Canon and Adobe create some of the most amazing equipment and software it’s a wonder photographers make any money because of the constant release of “new and improved”. If you’re a photographer you’re a gadget nerd, they go hand in hand. I’ve always been fascinated with the many ways to take a picture and the incredible things photographers do with their pictures. My program director is a firm believer in the history of photography and how old processes shape and mold a photographer’s ability to create stunning work. Admittedly I feel close to the same way now. Having used Large and Medium format cameras for over a year now my comfort level, while working with them, has increased exponentially. I never thought I’d like working with these bulky cameras that require almost too much attention, but I really do! Attached are some of my assignments from this quarter.
