Blue Day

Another Sunday in Lincoln Park. We had a picnic lunch from this amazing place in West Seattle called Husky Deli and played on the driftwood with Clover...even met a few dog friends! Some more pictures from Lincoln Park can be found in my Flickr Album

Yarning Up

Slept in this afternoon with my hunnie, then we went out for lunch and some shopping. Stocked up on yarn for this week's projects and got a cheapo PINK basket for .99! We stopped by the REI to get Jon some shirts and a new hoodie and that place is GIGANTIC! Should be called the REI Compound. We even got lost trying to find our car to leave! Overall a fun day and the weather was moderate so Seattle looked beautiful.

Waiting

Shopped around town with my boyfriend today, but my allergy meds were making me woozy so I spent some time outside in the shade. Thought the lines in the sidewalk with the bench bars looked neat so I snapped this one today.

Allergies

Spring is early in Seattle so the trees are spewing like mad. Unfortunately my head can't keep up so I'm loaded up with meds and crocheting the day away.

and they're off!

Had a good day. Woke up and did some yoga/worked out. I've actually lost 6lbs since we moved here! Wrapped and packed up a few Tags Pockets shipments and walked down to the post office in the drizzle. After that I went by the local market to see what their ready made salads were priced at and walked back out promptly. They were 7 bucks for a tub of spinach and some dressing, ridiculous! Watched a girl painting the side of Easy Street Records building and will probably go back and take pictures tomorrow because if it ends up being what I think, it'll be AWESOME!

Coconut Obsession

Today I planned on going to the dollar store to pick up some shipping supplies to send out my Tags Pockets with. On my walk down to the bus stop I went by our neighborhood Bartell Drugs and decided to see if they had what I need. I'm so glad I did! Not only did they have an incredible selection of shipping supplies but they had these incredible little gems RIGHT next to the checkout. Now, a friend of mine in Atlanta enlightened me to these superior m&m's a few weeks ago so I almost tripped when I saw them! It's like a bag full of tiny Almond Joys!!

Holey Toast

Sunday breakfast with my parents and sister was a little tradition of sorts for us. They would make sausage bread, quiche, sometimes cinnamon rolls or this: holey toast. It was up to us, but we requested this one A LOT when we were little. Sometimes my Mom would use a heart shaped cookie cutter instead of a glass to make it all girlie. Clover and I shared this one earlier!

My funny little Valentine

Last night's creation. My first attempt at freehand crochet. I made his face and the heart on his butt without a pattern. I'm happy with how it turned out!

Sleepy Day

Had a boring day of cleaning up the apartment, job searching and a little more crochet craftery. Seattle is rainy again so I stayed in and watch the watery windows all afternoon.

Cupcake Ninja

I made a pink ninja today! Had some cupcake charms leftover from a project last year and thought one would go nicely instead of making a star. I plan to open an Etsy store by the end of this week featuring some of these creatures and more tag pockets as some people have requested them.

Tags Pocket

While shopping at our favorite pet store, Mud Bay, we wanted to get something that would hush the tags on Clover's collar. After looking through a few products I discovered that most were little velcro closure pockets. We would have just bought one but they were expensive, some were almost 10 bucks!

Well, this morning I crocheted one for her and I think it's MUCH cuter than anything we could have bought in the store.
